Making a Referral
Ansel provides a commitment to undertake all referrals within 48 hours, completing the referral process as comprehensively and efficiently as possible.
Referrals will only be accepted from those authorised by their organisations to make them.

If you have a query about a referral, call our central hotline on 0800 035 0000. If the patient meets the initial referral criteria and the referral is an emergency or of an urgent nature, a telephone referral will be taken.

Admission Criteria:-
- Diagnosis/categorisation of Personality Disorder, particularly individuals with severe and/or complex needs
- Male (Nottingham clinic), Female (2nd clinic)
- Over 18 years of age
- Subject to a section of the Mental Health Act (1983)
- Individuals with a borderline learning disability will be assessed on an individual needs basis
- Individuals with a physical disability will be assessed on an individual needs basis
- Patient is from England or Wales
- Referrals considered from Tier 1 – Tier 6 services
